and it is official. Our roster for the World Championships has been announced..

and all three youngsters are there ! :hyper::hyper::hyper::hyper::hyper::hyper:

New World Record ladies & gentlemens.  So far only one U17 player played a match at the WCh, Gasparini during Mussolini Italy (1939), no team had more than one U17 in their roster in all history.

We will enter the tournament with three U18 kids 2 of them U17. Juraj Slafkovský & Šimon Nemec. Both eventual first rounders of next year NHL Draft.

You can't even imagine how happy I am for you and how much I crave to know every little thing regarding SLOVAKIAN sport life

If the lights light up exactly at the correct moment, he was definitely first, since his light went on first. Not sure if those lights are 100% accurate though?

Insane, the average age is 24.75 years. crazy. Half of the team will experience their World Championship debut.

this may end only either in catastrophic debacles or by an incredible miraculous story a la Cinderella.

Anyway, no relegation this year, so the best time to send a experimental and rejuvenated roster. there nothing more important for young players than experience from tough seniors matches.

    • Weightlifting formula is more or less similar to 2020 which was considered terrible by everybody!    this is a tough sport, you can't be in your best shape for too many events. there will be risks of serious injuries this way. with these rules you need 5 good results to qualify. if you bomb out in an event to score a zero you are out of the Olympics unless you replace it with another event. which means most of these poor guys have to participate in 7-8 events (and not just 5) to make up for possible bomb outs.    most importantly if you get injured anytime during this period (almost 2 years) you are out of the Olympics! that's how Sohrab Moradi missed the Tokyo Olympics despite breaking the WR during the qualification period. you can miss the Olympics in 2028 if you get injured late 2026 !  Karlos Nasar couldn't win the Olympic title if we had these rules in 2024   I understand 2024 qualification formula wasn't great either, it had its own flaws but this one is much worse for threatening athletes' health.
