12 :yikes:

So this means 12 (!) South Korean players will be kicked out of the team 2 weeks before the Olympics? That'd be terribly sad...

Not quite - there will be 23 South Koreans and 12 North Koreans, so technically only 2 South Koreans will miss out as a usual sized team is 25. 22 athletes are selected for each match and at least 3 North Koreans must feature in each match.

Right. Kind of weird, messing up a team last-minute with players they don't even know, right before their home Olympics, but alright. At least it won't cost 12 athletes the experience..

Greedy as hell. :roflmao:

Their athletes in alpine skiing literally haven't competed in any int. event.

They've all had a bit of experience! But not for a few years - they have all competed in Iran and some in junior races in Kazakhstan.

Also their cross country skiers were pretty good at a race in Russia so if they would have bothered they probably could have qualified anyway.

Yeah, I forgot about those Iran super-gs (where they were scoring only 300+ FIS points). :p All of the other races with PRK were in 2010 or 2012, which is ridiculous.

In any case, this is quite unfair to all those athletes from exotic nations that don't posses nuclear weapons...
