Someone on a Dutch forum has made a list of current combined rankings for specific possible mixed double teams (the goal being of course to see whether or not Rojer/Bertens could be in). The question and the part where Totallympics comes in: does anyone know whether or not these nations have extra standards for selecting their players? Also, have some of these players already said they're not going to play mixed doubles?

 

1. Spain
Nadal - Muguruza (6)
More options possible, with Suarez Navarro being the only other possibility on the women's side.

2. Switzerland
Federer - Hingis (4)
More options when throwing Wawrinka and Bencic in the mix.

3. Great-Britain
A. Murray - Konta (18)
J. Murray - Konta (18)
Only possible with Konta on the women's side.

4. Serbia
Djokovic - Jankovic/Ivanovic (25 or 26)
Only possible with Djokovic on the men's side.

5. Czech Republic

Only possible with Berdych on the men's side.

Tsonga allready annouced he is not going to play the mixed double. Mladenovic announced she will play with Herbert (they playd together at RG), and Mahut more or less said he was going to pair with Garcia

I think you're right, if we have a place Pereira will play with Melo or Soares (probably Soares, who has a good record in Mixed Doubles).

 

Brazilian tennis confederation has entered a total of 7 athletes for the Olympics Games. Except for Melo/Soares in Doubles, and Bellucci/Pereira in Singles, others will depend on invites and/or withdrawals. They are (and possible events):

 

Thomaz Belluci: Men's Singles/Doubles (with Sá)
Bruno Soares: Men's Doubles and Mixed Doubles* (with Pereira)
Marcelo Melo: Men's Doubles and Mixed Doubles* (with Pereira)
Teliana Pereira: Women's Singles/Doubles (with Gonçalves) and Mixed Doubles* (with Melo or Soares)

 

Not yet guaranteed:

Rogério Dutra Silva: Men's Singles
Paula Gonçalves: Women's Doubles
André Sá: Men's Doubles
