yes but the B standards, doesn´t mean that the swimmer is qualified, he/she must wait how many for FINA confirmation. there 900 quotas awarded overall in swimming, you must deduct all swimmers with A standard per max 2 from 1 country in all events, then also count with all tripartite (universality) invitations for "small" countries with any qualified athletes, only then FINA send invitations for the remaining quota places to swimmers with B standard, and you understand that there not many remaining places to offer, thats the reason why in some events only 3-4 swimmers with the best B times were invited

Every country which participated in last year's World Championships is entitled to one swimmer in Rio under Universality across all events. Its not cheating, it is FINA ensuring diversity in participation.

I dont know why FINA persists with B standard. It just creates confusion. I am sure there are multiple swimmers with B standard in all events who are not qualified (same as London). Why not just have A standard and then fill remaining quotas (after Relay and Universality quotas) with best from the rest.

and they invite very weak swimmers while others much better are marginalized ??

 

so   have 0 swimmers in rio because of this stupid rule  while very small microscopic island called "sandwich" have 3 or 4 ???

Algeria should have 1 swimmer. There must have been some mistake by FINA. I am sure that when your federation will point it out to FINA, they will correct it. 

 

If very small microscopic island called "sandwich" have 3 or 4 swimmers that means those 3 or 4 swimmers either got A standard or were high enough on ranking list to be invited with B standard and hence, they deserve to be in Rio.
