[OFF TOPIC] GeoGuessr - The Totallympics Battle

Recommended Posts

Before we go all big, are people somewhat familiar with GeoGuessr? Personally I already was for a while, but only recently I started playing every now and then and found it kind of fun.

The main premise is super easy: you get a random Streetview image and you have to pinpoint, on a world map, where you are. That can be Times Square, it can be some alley in Rwanda, who knows. You can play alone, of course, but also one on one or in a bigger party.

To start a party or another online game, you need a subscription. To join, you don't, you only need the link. I have a subscription, so as far as I am concerned, anyone interested could join and we can go for a couple rounds.

Anyone in?

To play against each other it does, but that should be solvable by simply agreeing to a moment :p

Oh ok. Sorry, but I can't commit to that right now...but sounds fun! :) (I used to play a good bit, until they put it behind a paywall.)

Long time player myself! Nice to see someone else on the forum plays as well.

Not available to play now but would definitely be down sometime in the future!.

It depends on the game mode. If it's multiplayer, then yes.

If it's a challenge mode where you play a single-player map and compare your scores to other players at the end, then no.

I can try my best to make it, if someone comes up with a time.

It can also easily be done 1-on-1, so if only one person manages to agree with a time, that'll be fine too :d

As for today, anything between roughly 20:00-22:00 (CET) would work fine for me :)

The game isn't going anywhere, so no worries if it doesn't immediately work out to pick a time :d

Never played myself but watched videos of competitive players. Guys watching some traffic lights and saying 'yeah, this is inner Mongolia" and so on.
