2026 Winter Olympics - Day 4 (February 10)

Mea culpa in advance, I am finding myself in the position where I’ll be cheering primarily for  in the men’s curling event - two of the players are local to the Seattle area (which is home for me) and the whole bunch seem like great people.

 

(and unfortunately for the Americans here, it’s very rare for Americans I root for to do well xD )

She actually put forward three solid runs, if she had done another on her second she would've been top six.

And he gets to skate after the flood (which means more exposure) :D

 

Hopefully this is the start of a renaissance for him. And certainly it’s amazing for him to be having this moment after all his struggles as a senior.

So just out of curiosity, I took a look at the average ages of each of the women's hockey teams this year. The average age of the Canadian team is a whopping 29.22 years. The next oldest team is Finland at 25.96. The US average age is 25.87. It's no wonder we're getting killed.
