Interesting, as always! Sadly there is absolutely no way the Netherlands will actually have someone in Nordic combined, and alpine skiing is incredibly unlikely as well unfortunately.

I’ve never heard of read anything about a Dutch nordic combiner, let alone of a level that our Olympic committee would deem high enough to earn a nomination.

Sean Steenbakkers is definitely doing quite well and growing, but not at the World Cup level yet, let alone top-8 :p

It is good that we actually have an active athlete though! It's been four years or so already since Max Teeling.

Yeah it doesn't look like the Netherlands has set a standard for nordic combined yet. Mostly because they weren't expecting anyone to qualify. See here.

Once they find out about him, I believe they will then set the standard.

I'm sure they are aware of him, but he's just so far from qualifying right now that there is not really a reason for them to publish something.

Is Marcel Hirscher still planning on competing?

Made a minor update already. FIS updated the qualification standings for the snowboard slopestyle/big air despite the fact that I already gathered the data after the last event. My guess is that they forgot to adjust the standings so that only the top 6 slopestyle and top 4 big air results for each athlete count. This has resulted in the following changes in snowboard:

:SVK +1

:SUI +1

:CAN -1

There is only one subtraction because on the men's side, Jonas Hasler is the athlete who now misses qualification but he is already qualified in the halfpipe so an extra quota is gained overall.
