 takes the women's Nations Cup for the first time ever passing  at the last possible moment.

 

Kamila Żuk with a SB 12th in sprint and  fends off  for 10th place (so 5 entries for next season).

Vittozzi finally in good form on skies at the end of the season + probably good equipment. Italy is in 4th place in the women's Nations Cup ahead of Germany... In 10-15 years before, this situation was unimaginable In the men's competition, Italy is in 5th place and Germany is in 4th place- we could say that we are currently 4/5th forces in biathlon on pair with Germany: better are: France, Norway and Sweden.

I am of course happy with that Sweden for the first time wins the womens nations cup but I must still question the rules. They don´t count scores from pursuits or mass starts to the nations cup because they consider it´s unfair when all countries don´t have 3 or more athletes starting, but somehow they consider it is fair to include mixed relays and let male performances affect the ranking for women and the vice versa.So thanks to a mans disqualification (Jaqueline in the last single mixed) Sweden won the womens nations cup. Now I think Sweden would have won anyway if all mixed relays would have been discounted from the womens team ranking but still a bit weird to see how his failure had that impact on the womens cup.
