possibly all the Asian teams that have to make a stop in the Gulf Countries (Japan, Korea, maybe even China, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and so on) not that flying over Russia/Ukraine/Belarus is also safe nowadays -

Seems a bit stupid to cancel them. If you can't go, then the tournament continues without you, just like it would in other cases. Realistically how many teams won't be able to go to Italy or Greece? -

here we go... all the Fencing World Cup events scheduled for the upcoming weekend (men's Sabre Trofeo Luxardo in Padua, women's Sabre in Athens, men and women's Foil in Cairo) have been cancelled due to the current political situation, given that most teams might be unable to fly from and to the respective destinations

too early to say, especially with the idiotic rules set by the IOC I think in the next couple of years the sport will see a lot of changes in the established rankings, it might change almost everything
