Think we will have an idea after the Commonwealths.  But some other teenagers started at the Island Games & got famous - Mark Cavendish & Kelly Sotherton also took Gold there.

Just will point out that about six weeks ago this same Filip Nowacki made his debut here on Totallympics, swimming in a 25m local authority pool,  competing for Jersey in the Island Games along with Orkney, Menorca, the Falkland Islands etc!  You just never know where a great talent is going to first emerge!  

 

All these small multi-sport games do sometimes kick up a superstar of the future!    

 

 

Most definitely. It also helps keep sport programs alive in smaller places.

He did win medals at the European Youth Olympic Festival and Commonwealth Youth Games back in 2023 (when he was 15), but it's cool to see his progression already.

Sheremet physically looks like a child: skinny and a little muscle. He somewhat remember Popovici from a few years ago. If he's managed good and gains mass, he could be a great swimmer in the future.

 

Unfortunately, many swimmers suddenly disappear somewhere: they go to the USA or simply start swimming less well and don`t make any progress, e.g. for us: Galossi, Ragaini and, to some extent, Pilato.
