Did anybody not get a time slot or just me lol

I have a time slot 16th of April, but my girlfriend doesn't . So you're not the only one ...

Hopefully there are some tickets left when I enter the ticketshop.

Im hoping for an easy experience to also buy tickets last second like I had with Milano.  But I have a feeling that it wont be the case.   At least I don't have to pay flight+hotel

On the LA28 Facebook, they announced that they won't be releasing all sports/sessions in Drop 1 due to high demand in the local presale.  I'm curious what that might be.

Apparently there's hardly anything available...  My wife's timeslot is tomorrow...we'll see if we end up getting anything.

Best of luck!! Looking forward to hearing how it goes!

I had found a nice Reddit post that had a comprehensive view of what was left and at what price.  Using that, I knew what I wanted to get.  Fortunately, things were smooth in the process overall.  One session was sold out of the tickets I wanted and I had to change dates, but ultimately, I'm pleased.  (Hey...we're going to the Olympics!)

We're going to see Women's Handball Prelims (we get to see two matches), and we will see Men's Lacrosse Prelims (where we get to see three matches...which means that we'll be guaranteed to see Team USA :USA ).

We were slightly constrained in availability (obviously) and also with the thought that we'll have our (then) 9 and 13 year old daughters with us, so it needed to be family-friendly and fun...and I think both of these tick that box.  I also wanted to see a sport we don't normally see here, so Handball definitely ticks that.

We ultimately would love to snag Climbing tickets (Women's Boulder specifically) and perhaps Women's Volleyball or Basketball (Team USA preferably), and our schedule does allow us some flexibility (we have several days between these events).  But, who knows if any will become available at any point (either in a future Drop or in Resale).

Best of luck to anyone else still wanting tickets!

Also wanted to share this Google Doc that some other kind soul on Reddit put together for anyone else planning.

Got my slot tomorrow but don’t think I’m even gonna check since almost everything I wanted is either already sold out or the cheapest tickets are around $2000 (athletics). I feel like it’s kinda embarrassing for the organizers, I mean they knew how many tickets were going into the locals presale so they should’ve saved more for the non local ppl.

I know there’s more drops later, but since even the slot is based on luck, it’s hard to trust how it’ll go when even fewer tickets are left

Must I brag that I watched Bob Beamon’s great long jump in 1968 from a US$2 ticket? Or that I saw the final race and the famous Black Power podium from a US$0.40 ticket?
(Fosbury’s flop came a bit more expensive, a US$6 ticket; watched it with my dad).

In Barcelona ‘92 prices were not as low, but still quite affordable, as I remember.

Glad it could be of service...it's not mine, but someone else on Reddit had made it.

Also, I currently have a slot now where I can log in and buy tickets (which I'm not going to do, since I bought earlier with my wife's slot), if anyone has any questions.  (Good until Friday at 10am Pacific Time, which is GMT-7)

    • Unfortunately, we lost our promotion today and to France... I don't believe in a 3win against Hungary on Friday. A 3 win today would have been enough to qualify But it's also embarrassing that we're up against 7-8 playersfrom Canada/USA, and we're losing to France, where there's no naturalized one They're simply at a higher level than us. Without promotion, in 2 years we'll be at the level of China, because. We lost a huge opportunity today. I'd rather win today than at the Olympics, because qualifying for the Elite is crucial for Italy and the Olympics are over and irrelevant. I'm actually surprised how France gets female hockey players without naturalization to perform at such a high level? The sport isn't popular there at all- this isn't Germany.
