and as I wrote many times, you can't be on top of every sport...this one is not made for the Italian people: we simply don't have infrastructures, players, money and media/popular interest 

hockey in Italy (intended as a whole Country) just doesn't exist, any speculation about Italy and hockey is only a big waste of time

Pretty much. Hockey relies more on the team aspect than any other Olympic team sport IMO. The best players rarely play half the game, even more than 40% is a lot of ice time and not sustainable long term. Goalies can only do so much if they are facing 50 shots at decent angles.

 

I'd much rather have a team of NHL 3rd liners than a team with 1-2 superstars and the rest from the AHL.

Radim Šimek injured his left arm during the league game. Waiting for check up results. Thinking who he might be replaced by if the results are bad. Most of the fans on discussion forums speak about Tomas Galvas - star defender during U20 WCH; Jan Sčotka or David Jiříček who is switching between NHL (Minnesota Wild) and AHL. I know, tough move, but I would take the risky move and called the young fella Galvas. He is young and somehow nothing stops him ..... His statistics from U20 WCH say a lot ... 3+6 in 7 games for a defender is pretty impressive.

The bronze medal team from Beijing 2022 captain Marek Hrivík is out of the games due injury. He´ll be replaced by the  Kometa Brno forward Lukáš Cingel, 

 

For Cingel it will be his 2nd Olympics after PC 2018, not expecting him to step on the ice in any of the games personally though
