Woods got higher score for turns even though Kingsbury had the best turns on eye test. Shaky order. Woods max. bronze but alas...

Yep, as someone who watches moguls a lot, he was better in that aspect you're right. I don't know why I'm surprised though... :(

Kingsbury said he's probably retiring after this season, and him only winning one Olympic gold feels very wrong. More wrong than most other one-gold medalist Olympians.

Whichever out of :CAN or :AUS winning would have been nice, but a tied result is extra drama. Gut-wrenching result. Congrats for the first medal for Australia :yes The Maple Leaf will wait a bit longer for the opening gold.

I'll be honest. If Mik finished below Ikuna I wouldn't have been shocked. His run was also really good. To see this beat both of them is......surprising.

Gotta give a little boost to the skiers who have never won a World Cup before, sort of a “I’m surprised you did so good" bonus.

The Australia judge scored the Australian athlete 0.1 higher than the other judge in air. They were tied for Kingsbury. Basically the Australian judge won the medal for their athlete

He still has a chance in dual moguls, where he's more favoured. I wonder which random skier the judges will choose to give a gold to instead, though.

Should have drawn a :CAN judge on the panel.

I don't know much about this event. In case of a tie in points, what's used to determine the winner next? It's rare to see the first and second place with exactly the same score today.

It was too secure. But still he has a Olympic Medal. Congrats Australia.

Still disappointing. He's the GOAT of moguls, and among the best ever in winter sport with 100 World Cup wins, and yet he still didn't win gold here. I might've been able to handle it if he lost to Horishima if he was in the 85s, but being screwed over by the judges and losing to Woods with a run that was not gold medal worthy... not the way I wanted the day to start... :(

This is his last Olympics too, if not his last event. Really wanted him to go out on a high with a moguls sweep, it would've been a fitting end to his career/last Olympics. :(

Turn score, and Woods didn't even have the best turns when compared to Kingsbury
