Only Sara Takanashi's second medal. She was the biggest name in Women's ski jumping before it became an Olympic sport, but has never won much at the Olymoucs. -
6 - only because of Tomasiak medal it is (and Twardosz 10th place), it would be 3 without it, I mean here no medal from Król-Walas, 9th place in mixed relay in short track and so far mediocre results in biathlon. Ah, about the grandstand thing: I had kind of missed it, but Duda's mom left literally the second Bruna arrived and we started celebrating her perfomance Gave a stink eye, got up and left without a look Ai ai, Brasil and the grandstand adventures. Saw Duda's oldest brother as well, called him and - as per usual for him - he immediately came up to us with a massive smile. Awesome guy, luckily. Just like her other brother, potential Paralympic sit ski champion Cristian Ribera. -

Seeing Klaebo dominating this way and the sport as a whole the past years, just reminds me, that we were forever robbed of a legendary Klaebo-Bolshunov rivalry So many missed clashes (not in the sprints of course, but in the other distances).. -
Finland has a chance for medal? -
It's based on the races skated so far this season and I'm not really taking the draw into account. I think Żurek and De Boo are incredibly close when you look at the season overall and it was hard to pick between those two, but I think Żurek has shown in Inzell and at the European Championships that he is in great form which is why I put him in second.

What a day! Seeing Bruna compete and fulfill her Olympic dream...wow, just, wow We managed to get the large army of Swedes behind us to cheer specifically for her too, so that was awesome! And by some coincidence, we had a few Dutch people behind us After the qualifying, Duda (the other Brazilian) and her family came up to the grandstand and sat right in front of us. She had a good race and beat Bruna, so congrats to her. Unlike Duda, Bruna had quite a lot of large interviews with media ranging from Brazilian to Dutch so it took a lot longer for her to reach the grandstands, but she was in time to watch the quarters all the way up to the finals. Tears flowed when she reached us as a freshly minted Olympic I told her Duda was sitting right in front of us (she hadn't noticed), so - sportsmanship being her thing - she of course went immediately up to her to congratulate her. Duda's face turned into the most foul mooded face I have ever seen anyone have immediately and they literally immediately afterwards left There's an insane amount of action on Bruna's instagram at the moment (lots of interviews and stuff). Maybe some on Duda's as well, but I'm not sure, as - like Bruna - I am blocked by her for whatever reason, so no idea
