I just saw the what the Canadian guy said to the Swedish one. Holy shit, there's drama in curling?

Yes, there was also an instance of the Chinese team cheating at the last World Championships, not only once but twice.

Edit: For those of you that want to know what happened, they burned rocks (touching a stone with your body or legs after it's been released) in a few matches.

This whole cheating situation feels more like something from football or wrestling and not curling. And from Canadians of all people. Very unexpected.

I know it’s terrible sportsmanship, and I don’t respect it at all, to me it’s funny though that they keep getting mad at/trying to argue with him

Oscar seems like a very nice guy, so getting him heated… yeah you’re probably in the wrong…

So, I'm just getting caught up on this now (was watching on mute, with the hockey game on, at work).

Everyone could have handled that better. If you think your opponent is cheating, either go directly to the official, or say it directly to him. Don't just say it under your breath and walk away and then act innocent. Then Kennedy could have been more diplomatic, but I'm sure it's not fun being accused of cheating at the Olympics. At the end of the day, these are high-level competitive athletes in the heat of the moment.

Hey fair enough but telling Oscar to fuck off, not a good look :dunno:

As long as it doesn't happen again, I don't think it was intentional.

"Hey man, did you touch that rock?"

"No, I didn't"

"Are you sure, because it looked like you did. You're a good guy, but it looked like you did"

"I promise you I didn't"

"If you say so"

"FUCK OFF!"

-Bad dude

"*mumble mumble* easy to make shots when you touch the stone *mumble mumble*" walks away

"Who touched the stone?"

Surprised Pikachu face

"Who touched the stone?"

Even more surprised Pikachu face

"Fuck off"

-Not great, but understandable.

If you think someone cheated or made a mistake, talk to the official or confront them nicely. It's not like these guys don't know each other. It's not like Team Canada or Team Sweden hasn't been here before.

This can be turned around and put on the Swedes lashing out over being terrible their first three games. It doesn't appear anyone needs to cheat to beat them right now.

Well it all started already after 2nd end and then they talked to the umpire. And the immediate reaction was to say the same accusations about Oskar instead to the umpire.
this can not be seen in any other way as well rehearsed cheating.

You are allowed since a few years back to double touch the handle but you may never touch the granite. It is just like doing it with the broom further down the sheet
