I just hope she doesn't hurt nothing bad, because it's a really big risk- unnecessary, in my opinion. Doesn't she need approval from some medical committee on Team USA, or can she compete at her own risk? What's your take on it?

From what it appears to me, she can compete at her own risk.  I also hope she will take care of herself...and yet when you're this close, I know the temptation might be too great.
