Men

:PHI moving on to OQE

:NZL and :POL will play.  Winner moves to OQE.

Loser plays :DEN, and that winner goes to OQE.

 

Women

:CZE moving on to OQE

:GER and :HUN will play. Winner moves to OQE.

Loser plays :AUS, and that winner goes to OQE.

:POL for the men are going through to the OQE after a clutch 9th end.

 

:GER for the women are going through.

 

Up next is the last chance for the :NZL men, as they face off against :DEN.  The women from :HUN will now face :AUS.  The winner of these games will head to the OQE.  These games will be played in a few hours' time.

OQE starts December 5.

 

Teams qualified for the OQE

Men:   :CHN  :USA  :JPN  :NED  :KOR + 3 from Pre-OQE :PHI :POL :NZL

Women :NOR  :USA  :JPN  :TUR  :EST  + 3 from Pre-OQE :CZE :GER :AUS 

 

FormatEach team plays all others in a Round Robin.  First and Second place play each other.  The winner moves on to the Olympics.  The loser plays Third place, and that winner goes on to the Olympics.

 

(There is also XD at the OQE...but I don't feel like typing that up right now.) :)

1) Round Robin within your Group.

4) Loser of A1 vs. B1 plays winner of A2 vs. B2.  Winner goes to the Olympics

Well, it seems to be over for guys, anyway it was already big success that they are in last round of qualification event, hoping that they will qualify in 2030 :yes

    • Also a first: never before has a Dutch pair participated in the games, according to media rapports.
    • The Technical director of the Dutch Olympic Committee has, using his discretionary powers, decided to include them in the team. He cites “extra-ordinary circumstances”, but has not stated what they are. The use of these powers is quite rare. They were used in 2022 to nominate an alpine-skier.

    • I think the points from the test event should be simple to figure out since WC points from 15th on (continuing through the nations cup races) just count down by 1. Why would it be any different? The only thing that would be uncertain is whether Li and Fischnaller get 1 or 0.
