Poland used 100% of their chances and even more. Fontana had 3 chances to win medals and ended up with nothing. For Italy, this is the worst World Championship since 2019: 2 medals is a poor result. The Olympics are not organized to win fewer medals than before.

I think both speed skating championships this weekend have told us that :NED need Schulting back in the short track squad.

That's so true. Suzanne Schulting, please come back to shorttrack!

In sports, as in life, you have to be lucky, unless you are as strong as Canada in men. Fontana is at a stage in her career where 0 medals in Cortina would not surprise me, because she has to count on luck, and she had none here.

You shouldn't complain anyway. Back then, in short track, Holland didn't matter at all in the world, even in Europe they were weak. Go back to 2006... In Europe there was Radanova, Italians and nothing, and the world was even further ahead.

Who else but Canada winning the final event of Worlds?

With their win in the men's 5000m relay, that's 6 golds, 3 silvers, and 9 medals for :CAN at these World Championships :bowdown::bowdown:

Oh. My. Word. I'm speachless.

Meanwhile, if my math is correct, China and Korea combined for only 5 medals and only 1 gold

Also really impressed with Turkiye's development in short track. Their men's relay was competitive in every race. Maybe they'll qualify for the Olympics last year
