@brunamoura41.85 down! From Sundling that is, so maybe 25 secs or so off top 30.  Beating plenty of European countries with winter sports history.  Also beating plenty of yesterday's top 20. Second :BRA though, so don't know how the sprint team gets selected....

:CHN pretty good, but not cracking the top 30.

Team sprint selection was already made in January based on a complicated ranking, which the federation themselves got wrong...and literally only I got right

Bruna and Jaque should do it :d

Well, that's good, they have every chance judging by the quality of other teams here.

It's sad that even the Andorran is better than the Italians. The Andorran, who was at the level of our girls in junior competitions, but she made progress, and we have nothing. We still have 35-year-old Pellegrino and nothing. If Pellegrino doesn't win a medal, we'll be left with nothing. And I can't believe that for 15 years we weren't able to train anyone to the top 10 level of the World Cup in sprint. Since Follis left in 2011, our women's cross-country skiing has existed only on paper :(

    • It's waaaay too expensive & inconvenient. Basically WOG minus the bobsleigh track & indoor arena for figure skating/hockey(which is the easy part of Olympic bid). Just won't happen anytime soon. Winter sports are too facility dependant and the entire alpine skiing requires a separate venue.

    • The Technical director of the Dutch Olympic Committee has, using his discretionary powers, decided to include them in the team. He cites “extra-ordinary circumstances”, but has not stated what they are. The use of these powers is quite rare. They were used in 2022 to nominate an alpine-skier.
