I turned on the Ryder Cup for about 5 minutes, and hearing the fans really turned me off...   What happened to quiet golf spectating?  (Based on @Agger's comment, apparently wild cheering is normal for Ryder...I've never watched it.)

It is one of the characteristics that make the Ryder Cup special, even if this year the Americans are exaggerating a bit (more so yesterday than today, when we are back to normal)

Yeah. I like that there's a bit more atmosphere at the Ryder Cup, but it has been too much with the heckling and unsportsmanlike conduct from the American supporters this time.

But several reports from the course that it has been made clear on the big screens that it is not accepted and others report that there's extra security, especially around McIlroy's pairing.

 

And well. That move from DeChambeau's caddie didn't help.

His game agains Harris English (who was the golfer Bradley had selected to be left out in case of an injury) is halved meaning that Europe is now only 2 points from retaining the title

Now that I understand the Ryder Cup a bit more, I can see the excitement.
