Keeping to the women's hammer theme - worlds silver medalist Jie Zhao has gone out to 78.22 in chengdu a new  and asian record.[tough Chinese women absolutely rule this throwing event in their continent holding the the top 14 all time places].

Carifta Games from  - these are the Caribbean Junior Athletics Championships, so bound to be names from the future involved.

22.11 in the U20 200m, new WL and tied for #3 on the U20 all-time list with the legend Allyson Felix, and 11.13 in the U20 100m despite a bad start at the CARIFTA Games. And she's 18 years old

 Jimmy Gressier with a new European record of 12:51 in the men's 5km at the Urban Trail de Lille, moving to #2 on the all-time list and only about two seconds off the WR. 

 

In the women's 5km, 17 year old  Marta Alemayo went 14:15 to move to #3 on the all-time list. 

 

14 year old  Camryn Dailey with an U14 WR of 22.73 in the girls 200m into headwind at the Florida Relays, and another 14 year old  Melanie Doggett was 2nd in 22.80 

 

 Max Thomas 9.90 PB in the men's 100m at the Florida Relays, now #2 on the top list for the season

 

 Monae Nichols with a PB of 7.07m in women's long jump at the Miramir Invitational

 

22.25 for  Mariah Maxwell in the women's 200m at the Texas Relays, although 3.8m/s wind.

Yes, you're right

 

But unless it's in a windy location, wind has a less visible effect on jumps compared to the track events.
