Panama strikes first against Puerto Rico and leads 2-0 after 5 innings. Meanwhile Venezuela with a big first inning against Israel and they lead 4-0 -

If you're talking about qualifying the 2nd round, no. If you're talking about the next edition of the WBC, then there's still a chance. It'll likely come down to their matchup with Israel. I think they've purposefully saved their best pitcher for that matchup. -

Women winning a small 4-team tournament this afternoon--the SheBelieves Cup. It was and (that's the finish order...it was just a small round robin invitational). -
So no chance for Nicaragua to qualify now :(? -

Throwback to 1996 when I went to the Netherlands/Nicaragua baseball game in Atlanta. I was only 10, and I don't remember it much...but at least I can say I've been. (A member of the team that won bronze was randomly from my small town, and I remember he came to our church to speak, and I either got to see, hold, or wear the bronze medal.) -

good first outing by our guys dominant performance on the mound, it took a while to fet going on offense, but when it happened, all of our power and depth came out
