We FINALLY have a schedule!

Where?!

I have now found the official announcement PDF/event program, and it has a bit more, but still no full schedule

Sorry, the tweet you posted loaded way later here, now I see it :p

That's better indeed, thanks! Although it is rather ironic that they came up with this whole World Tour shtick with one of the main reasons being 'uniformity' and the 'package' being consistent and all that corporate nonsense, and for the very first event we are depending on a local federation posting the times on social media instead of on....you know....the World Tour website

I've signed up to this forum to see if anyone knows what is happening with the European (specifically UK) broadcasting rights for Short Track this year?

I was under the impression that the ISU had a deal with Eurosport, who are now owned by DiscoveryPlus. At least their Youtube streams have been blacked out for the last few seasons because of it. The ISU are still saying on their website here https://isu-skating.com/where-to-watch/ that they are broadcasting with Eurosport.

I've been waiting for DiscoveryPlus to start listing the World Tour events on their website. And last week they did, having them appear as "upcoming events". All good. But this week they've disappeared! And after a few conversations with Eurosport and DiscoveryPlus customer service they're claiming they actually don't have the rights and won't be showing it.

The ISU obviously won't respond to me about this.

What's the point of doing this goofy team rebrand and then not broadcasting the big show? Seems a bit a strange.

just checked...and here in Italy it's regularly listed for Saturday (7.27 p.m. CET) and Sunday (6.27 p.m. CET) on the Discovery Plus site/app :dunno:

DiscoveryPlus is usually a good service because you can watch on a delay, it's just strange they are not listing it for the UK this year.

I don't think they're showing it on YouTube at all. they have some streams scheduled but it's all figure skating. I used to enjoy the official YouTube streams before the Eurosport deal. Also their website doesn't show any YouTube streams for the Short Track World Tour.

Well, I've emailed the ISU at info@isu.ch as a last attempt but I don't expect a response. Hopefully I can find it somewhere, it's one of my favourite sports.

Everything worked perfectly for about 20 years and now it's all a mess.  Same thing happened with biathlon a couple of seasons back.
