 defeats  8-4 in the men’s curling final, for the final gold medal of these FISU Games.

Team Slovakia finished the Games with 1 medal, equalling the last Lake Placid result.

 

Only Medal - Silver in M Ice Hockey

 

 

...still better than Paris Olympics though

This whole second week has been epic.  Probably have to go back to vancouver for as much snow on the ground for a major champs.

I think of it as the Commonwealth Games of Winter Sports. Big assortment of standards plus some eccentric events.  Really loved the orienteering.  "Hey, do I go up this well-trod path or trudge shin-deep through fresh snow?"

LP2023 actually had a handful of snow days as well. However, parts of the region had been a little bit snow deprived before the start of the Games.

 1 G & 2 S for .  Both the Curling 4s a mess, but Freestyle definitely a reliable medal event for us now.
