Going for gold for a second consecutive year!  defeat  6-5 in the second semifinal

It’ll be last years finalists going for gold once again with  v.  and an all-Asian bronze medal match with  v.

So something that has not happened before (with the current format) could play out for the first time.  If  defeats  then both zones will have a total of 43 points, the tie-breaker is who is the champion. So the pan continental zone would get a sixth qualifier for next year's championship.

I know this team had what it took to have a solid finish, but the semifinals much less a medal? Hats off 

 

Suddenly, the race for the Olympic medals just got a lot more interesting (Canada, Sweden, Korea, Switzerland, China, Italy, Japan are all strong contenders, even though Switzerland/Canada have been the dominant ones I still remember what happened with Tirinzoni in Beijing)
