Two Swedish teams in semi finals :yikes: We have 2300 licensed players and not known for our beaches. :d

Åhman/Hellvig apparently had 2 hours of practice together in the last months.

I just hope that Ahman/Hellvig don't do the same as they did at the Olympics and play poorly in the first round and face our best pair before the semifinals (assuming we beat this excellent German duo). :fingers:

Just as I predicted.

Damn it Ahman/Hellvig, why can't you play like the best and stop losing to bad teams in the first round? :spank:

I'm surprised by this second pair; their blocking quality is spectacular.

Well I wouldn't have been that surprised, but then you told me this. They're not human :yikes:

Holting Nilsson/Andersson have really came into their own this season.

Two teams in the women's semifinals.  It's a shame that Duda/Ana Patricia got injured; I wouldn't be surprised if we had three teams there (despite the dangerous American pair).

Melissa/Brandie were unlucky; I think they would have done better against Thamela/Victoria or the Latvian pair.

    • There will be specialized double sculls...just not for an NOC if it is entering singles specialists.   Either enter 2 singles specialists, or 1 XD specialist pair.   But they can in theory compete in both events, I guess, if they qualify...our top M, I think, does both.   But there are 17M, 17W, and 30 Pairs allotted in the quota, so I don't think the intent is that every singles entry will be in doubles.   (Perhaps this gets to fall in line with Weightlifting, where due to max entry quota, an NOC can't enter in every event, even if they have the best athletes...here, unless you have a pair who qualifies in both.)
