5th place, highest ranked European Team for the women, seem well set  for continental place if Lacross goes that route, and pretty well set for plain ranking place in any event - with US as host, the top (next) four covering four continents is handy for IOC purposes - unlikely any African team will be close to competitive, so may very well end up with the sixth spot open to the other two Europeans who are also high up in the rankngs.

Aren't they using a different format of the game for the Olympics?

I thought they were both using Sixes

TBH - no idea. There are 66 quotas across 6 teams so assume Olympics are using the full format.

It's a bit like rugby sevens - team 6, squad 11, much as sevens is team 7, squad 12

Indicative Olympic Qualifying Time for LA:

The OQT is based on the 14th place time from the heats in Paris with the OCT applying additional 0.5%. In most cases (green) the qualifying times should be slower than Paris albeit probably not by much but there are a couple of events on the women's side where the entry standards could be considerably slower.

If the time from top 14 is slower don't they just keep the time the same as last time?

I need to pay attention to flag football more. We are actually doing decently. We are in the quarter final of the womens tournament at the world games.

its a really good watch, QF against austria will be close, but beating japan was massive and probably an upset.

they got smashed by mexico but that was to be expected

GB lost in the QF but then won their ranking matches to finish 5th overall, the beat italy twice in this tournament but were outclassed by austria in the QFs

the euro flag tournament is next month so will be a better yardstick of how we fair overall against europe, im going to assume being a 6 team touney only one spot may go to europe so we have a bit of a gao to close, especially defensivly
