Which Podium will remain the same between Tokyo and Paris

Interesting question. A full podium repeat seems only realistic in team events/team sports so if I have to guess some I'll go with some swimming relay (men's 4x100m freestyle?) and for team sports with women's water polo.
But "none" might be the most likely answer, it's a topic that would require a more lenghty research. :mumble:

My wildest of guesses - men's team sabre :p

that won't be possible, unless something very weird happens later today at the PanAmericans, due to their ranking Italy and Hungary will meet in the quarterfinals.

@FaramirWith no Russia who suddenly got that better in men's sabre? :mumble:

I thought Italy and Hungary would be easily in Top 4 :p

it's Italy that got worse... in top4 alongside Korea and Hungary you have USA and France. And France hasn't been that good as well, but they'll probably have a bit of help at home.

need some reasearch for other sports...

but the individual events in swimming and athletics that have the highest chances to repeat in Paris, imho are:

swimming - women's 800m freestyle (Ledecky-Titmus-Quadarella)

swimming - men's 100m fly (Dressel-Milàk-Ponti)

athletics - men's 1500m (Ingebritsen-Tim Cheruyot-Kerr)

athletics - men's 400m HS (Warholm-Benjamin-Dos Santos)

athletics - men's shot put (Crouser-Kovacs-Walsh) I hope not!!!

athletics - women's discus throw (Allman-Pudenz-Perez)

    • That is absolutely certain. Any somewhat reasonable politician should be good enough to win against someone like Trump, even with the unfortunate timing (for the Democrats) of having to carry the brunt of the COVID pandemic consequences and so any Republic having a bit of a head start anyway.   But yeah, dreadful performance overall from Harris, who seemed to start quite positively, but then just lowered herself to Trump's level in terms of throwing shit at each other. That was a terribly dumb choice, nobody is going to beat Trump at the insult game, as we have seen.

But the West's strategy backfired as it pushed Russia to friendship with China. Many don't realize as Russia and China are actually adversaries even when they shared a common ideology during the Soviet era
