Just to explain a bit, the country holding the presidency of the 9-country bloc (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia, and the United Arab Emirates) should also host the Games.

 

This yeas was supposed to be Brazil, but as Brazil also holds the G20 Summit, it exchanged the BRICS presidency with Russia and all its events - now BRICS games is one of them.

 

Fortaleza would be a wonderful host!! perhaps many beach sports could be included.
