Tushishvili and Riner got into a bit of an altercation at the end of their fight. Riner pretended to be innocent and Tushishvili was the less strong actor (and did a bit more), so he won't be allowed to fight in the repechages. Riner is still allowed to fight in the semis.

Marius Fízeľ was the first judoka to compete at the games since 2012 today and he won his opening bout against then lost to Alisher Yusupov of in the 2nd roud. Both matches ended by Ippon.

 

I guess it was the most he could achieve. Still happy, we took finally part also in this sport.
