VS 35-34, dramatic win for with a last second save.. the drama started when Richardson scored a penalty for giving them the lead with only 20 seconds to go
smart tactic from coach during the timeout allowed the team to create a gap for the right winger Areia who was unlucky but also was facing the smart french GK Bolzinger who open the far angle and blocked it at the end giving a save deserved Bronze medal
technically the shot from the wing can be saved but I think Areia lost his technique when he didn’t catch the pass correctly then his focus was more on his steps and not to step on the line instead of looking at the goal.. anyway .. deserved great appreciation in this tournament and as a more experienced team deserved the bronze medal

It looks will host the 2029 World Champs by default, since no one else actually officially entered the bid.
who wanted to host the tournament in their supermodern new arena in Budapest alongside Czech city of Brno for some reason forgot to send the required necessary documents in time and officially announced they abandon the project during the previous christmas period
There som rumours is/was considering to bid but never officially announced anything and IIHF did not inform about any their bid interest...
So it looks Bratislava and Košice will host the WCh for the third time in last 18 years
