yes, and it happened in game #696 :yikes:

however, as the Italian philosopher Giovan Battista Vico stated already 300 years ago, history repeats...therefore I knew it was coming...

a) the Dodgers down by 1 at home in a WS game + b) a limping lefthanded going to bat = deja-vu

Vin Scully's soul just pushed that ball out in that part of the standings and the comeback win was served :cheer:

Dodgers win game two 4-2. Yankees had one hit until the 9th with Yamamoto keeping them in check.

Ohtani picked up a shoulder injury trying to steal base so let's see how serious that is.

I see you've finally recovered from your World Series hangover :d.

Congrats to your team on winning!

Although I was disappointed in the matchup, it's always great to see the Yankees lose and I'm still happy for Hernandez and Kiermaier (former Blue Jays), Freeman (honourary Canadian), and it's always great to see the best player in the game finally win a championship.

No surprise with Aaron Judge winning AL MVP and Shohei Ohtani winning NL MVP awards.

Ohtani is the second player in history to win MVP in both leagues. Frank Robinson (1961 Reds & 1966 Orioles) was the only one before.
