heywoodu 13,560 Posted March 17 #21 Share Posted March 17 It's about time they make the kick finishes illegal, where someone finishes with the skate up and the back of the skate in the ice. It's causing so many delays due to the ice having to be fixed. Dennis 600 Posted March 17 #22 Share Posted March 17 (edited) In the women's 1.000m final, 3 of the 5 skaters ( Kim, Santos-Griswold and Schulting) fell together. Desmet finishes in first place, Fontana in second, Schulting gets up first and finishes in third, but no way these will be the final standings. Dennis 600 Posted March 17 #23 Share Posted March 17 A restart after Desmet received a penalty Some of the skaters that fell look slightly injured, so I think this opens the possibilities for Fontana Josh
Dennis 600 Posted March 17 #24 Share Posted March 17 Schulting doesn't finish after the restart as she's injured, which is tough right before the relay finals as well Josh
heywoodu 13,560 Posted March 17 #25 Share Posted March 17 Well, that was...something Dennis, CCB and maestro 3 If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Dennis 600 Posted March 17 #26 Share Posted March 17 (edited) Women's 1.000m: Gold: Kristen Santos-Griswald Silver: Kim Gilli Bronze: Arianna Fontana Santos-Griswold completes the set after her silver medal on the 1.500m and her bronze medal yesterday on the 500m. She also finished first in the 1.000m world cup final standings this season, right before Kim Gilli. I think this is Fontana's 18th World Championship medal, after already winning 11 Olympic medals and 76 World Cup medals. What a legend! Dennis 600 Posted March 17 #28 Share Posted March 17 Just like in the men's 1.500m final, Park and Hwang hinder each other when they're skating in first and second place in the A final and again no medals for them. Josh

heywoodu 13,560 Posted March 17 #30 Share Posted March 17 25 minutes ago, Dennis said: Schulting doesn't finish after the restart as she's injured, which is tough right before the relay finals as well The result of that is that will have to do the relay with the line-up with which they got a 3rd place in the World Cup, followed by a win, a win and another win. Plus without Schulting the chance of actually getting a result is bigger anyway CCB and Josh 2 If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated!
