A lot of sprinters run on confidence. Might be his way of "staying in the zone". Or he just wants to be the next face of athletics. Who knows.

A lot of sprinters don’t say they’re going to break the WR nearly every time they race, and don’t get anywhere near it though :d

Natalia's time is significantly below theirs too.

All medalists will run under 49s to win a medal in Paris and I don't think any of the American women can (at the moment)

Medals should go to 3 of (barring injury) :DOM:POL:IRL:BAR :JAM

I'm also starting to worry about the cheat representing :BRN coming back into "form"

I wouldn't completely rule out :BAH. A certain someone split 49.7 in the World Relays in what is her only outing this season. Obviously, this would be reliant on her getting a time before the Q period closes but I believe that the Bahamas National Champs are this week...

I think it’s possible, but I wouldn’t say it for sure will happen. Some athletes will crumble under pressure, and* be nowhere near their PB’s. Others will thrive. Personally, I’m thinking 49.15 or so.
