Diego Elias is 2nd in the world, while Baillargeon is ranked 39th. Was surprised to even see him manage to take a set off him.

Charles Philibert-Thiboutot wins bronze in men’s 5000m. Bit disappointing, hopefully he can rebound in the 1500m.

Upgraded to silver as the Mexican athlete who won gold got disqualified.

So what’s the difference between technical, free, and acrobatic routine for artistic swimming. Which one counts towards Olympic qualification. I see Canada place third in the technical way behind Mexico when Canada usually dominates this discipline at the pan am games. Anyone know anything about this and why Canada isn’t as dominant?

There has been some major overhauling of the scoring system recently.
