Don't tell me you're one of these who will be paying off student loans for the next 25 years or sth? :p

No, I’m smart. California is paying for my first year of education. Next year will cost me $1,500. The next 2-3 years after will cost me around $15,000-25,000 I’m afraid. I should be able to pay off loans rather easily (if I ever need any). I just finished my first semester with 27/30 credits (most students have 15-18 after their first semester). I need about 120-140 for a bachelors degree. I’m on track for 4-4 1/2 year graduation.

Well might as well throw this day away :(. Woke up to “The Nazis” being the number 1 trending thing on Twitter. Really don’t want to know why, just going fast-forward through today.

I felt important when I had Tony Schaffer respond to my facts.

Oh, the good old "The Nazis were Socialists" debate. We pretty much just had it in Denmark :p

Let's don't overthink the room here. What did the 'S' stand for in NSDAP name?

What did the second D stand for in DDR? :p

Putting Socialist (well Sozialistische) in the name doesn't make a party socialist. Hitler even left the party shortly due to them cooperating with the Socialists and he fought the people (The Strasser-brothers and others) who wanted the party to be more socialist.

They also imprisoned way more Socialists than other political officials.

And Dinesh D'Souza has joined the discussion. The Christmas entertainment is here! (for me there are only a few better thing than Kevin Kruse (and other historians) tearing him apart :p)

You're the idealist and I'm a cynical realist. That never matches well. I told you that once you reach a certain age, you'll drop the idealistic BS. I've crossed that river already :hatoff:

@Olympian1010 - Do not worry, if you go the same way in life I do (which seems you do so far), you won't cross it at least until the 25 years, so still a lot of idealistic time for you.

No surprise here, KPD was outright communist party, SPD represented the Weimar Republic which Hitler hated. Obviously they both were doomed once Hilter became the Chancellor. Strasser was a victim of in-house NSDAP power struggle similar to Trockiy in Soviet Union.

Let's take it from a German historian ...

    • big big news regarding Olympic bronze medalist and two time World Champion  Zurabi Datunashvili   https://ita.sport/news/the-ita-acknowledges-cas-add-decision-sanctioning-wrestler-zurabi-datunashvili-for-anti-doping-rule-violations/   to be honest everything was suspicious about this guy, his sudden improvement since 2021, his body, his sudden retirement in 2023 . its great to see him finally getting caught.   they will reallocate the medals later after the end of the process but his Olympic bronze will go to  Ivan Huklek, I think that will be the first ever wrestling medal for Croatia   his 2021 World title will go  Maskevich and the 2022 gold goes to  Bisultanov Bisultanov will benefit more than anybody else, he also gets a bronze from 2021 and  Kessidis will get a bronze from 2022.
