@Janakis @George_D Asking for a friend, any idea what this says? :d (we came to the conclusion it's Greek, but it might be wrong, in which case I apologize for wasting your time :p )

@heywoodu yes this is greek. Its a part of a Cretan Mantinada.

 

Its translation is:

"I tried to deny you
but each time I tried it
its a sign
that I owe you my life",

Efthimia (greek female name), Creta (region)

 

It seems a woman wrote it in a wall as a dedication <3 to a man

 * now that i watched the image better it is clear that it is written on the bar of a knife :)
