I wanna a discussion about :CZE goaltenders. Quite many in NHL. Who would you guys choose or who do you think Czech coach will choose for the Olympic tournament?

Lukáš Dostal - Anaheim (already chosen)

Karel Vejmelka - Utah

Vítek Vaněček - Utah

Jakub Dobeš - Montreal

Daniel Vladař - Philadelphia

David Rittich - NY Islanders

Petr Mrázek - Anaheim

Plus some other possibilities, such as Michal Postava (AHL) or Simon Hrubec (Swiss League). I think the goaltenders competition is quite high.

As next 2 goalkeepers, I would choose Karel Vejmelka and Jakub Dobeš. How about you guys?

Quite a guest landed today in Slovakia

The great one visited the country for the first time

Dostal, Vejmelka and Vladar (if he plays enough in the nhl, otherwise it might be better someone like Hrubec)

DD became the 77th :SVK to score an NHL goal.

Dalibor Dvorský with his trademark one timer scored his first NHL goal in his 5th NHL careers game

a couple of days earlier also Samuel Honzek scored his first NHL goal for the Calgary Flames :)

    • Yes, the Africa Cup is counted, but I mean the Americup will be removed before the end of the qualification period (1 December 2027). Because the event finished before 1 December 2025.
    • It is already counted. Madagascar has won both men's and women's tournaments.
    • I think the 2025 Africa Cup will be counted in the Olympic ranking because it was played on December 5-7, while ther Americup was played on November 27-30 so it should not be counted, right?   The ranking cut-off is 1 December 2027 and the events of the last 2 years are counted, so I think the Americup 2025 will be cut.

Also probably first time, where realistic there is only one sport with full medal chances (ski jumping). There are always small chances with likes of Hrobat (DH), Kranjec (GS), Štuhec (DH), our snowboarders or in biathlon relays. But to be honest, at least two or three medals in ski jumping would be just fine, to continue tradition winning medals at Winter Olympics, last Games without any medal were in Torino 2006.    Beijing 2022: 42 athletes Pyeongchang 2018: 71 athletes Sochi 2014: 66 athletes,...
    • Forgot to post it yesterday, but Šimon Nemec became the youngest defencer in the NHL history to score 3 Overtime winners in a season    Nice record Nemo
