Well I'm entirely new to this, so noob question: top-8 of qualifying goes to the finals right? And then they start with 0 in the final and after every shot, the last one is eliminated?

Top 8 qualify for Finals. All start with 0 in final. In Final, first elimination is after 8 shots. Subsequent eliminations after every 2 shots.
