This is an Olympic qualification event. CONATIRO should honestly find an athlete for all 244 quotas :old:

It makes no sense, id assume they declined? I would assume CONATIRO would have offered the unused spots to all NOC's?

It’s been a weird cycle. I definitely feel like interest/entries are down from the last edition. It doesn’t help the qualification process has been mildly confusing at best, in most cases.

I suspect cost (airfare has really gone up in the last year) + weird timing is at play here.

:PER is next in line and they accept every quota, so most likely them.

 

This is :ISV smallest delegation since 2003 :(

      Yep, I actually think this Schwaller team is only just getting better every single year, and there’s not many viable options at third and fourth in the Swiss women’s curling scene, there’s only some good but not great players.   If Paetz and Tirinzoni both retire before the next quadrennial (likely for Tirinzoni, she said at the end of last year that the recent GSOC event would be her last) then Berset-Witschonke-Howald-Hurlimann is the best you can do and I don’t think the firepower is there. If Paetz keeps going, and it’s Witschoke-Howald-Hurlimann-Paetz then it’ll be interesting, but it’s also hard to predict.
