I took a number from Edmonton Sun given in the article. If you have some issues with this and think they're lying in the article I suggest you contact them sooner rather than later! :dunno:  In the same article it says 55% of the Inuit from Nunavut opposes the name change as well.

New York Jets traded their best player to Seattle Seahawks for two 1st round picks and some change. Adams was looking for a trade and blasted HC Adam Gase in the media yesterday. Seahawks have a history of missing on their 1st round picks in the Wilson era but because they usually pick in the low 20s anyway, that's a minimal damage anyway IMO.

There is no hope for the Jets. Gase will probably be fired after this season and they will try to "help" Sam Darnold as long as they can but if you make your best player helluva upset you're going absolutely nowhere. Dare I say this will be another 6-10 Jets shitshow.

Jaguars have waived RB Leonard Fournette today. They also traded the disgruntled DE Yannick Ngakoue to Vikings over the weekend. It's gonna be a miracle if they won't end up with the #1 overall pick in next year's draft. Even they can't screw this tank up! :p

I know the NFL season starts tonight because “National Anthem” is treading on Twitter :p

We already had one team refuse to take the field for the anthem (though they will absolutely play the match), and a player on the other team take a knee for the anthem. It’s going to be a fun season :p

    • How wonderful!   I met the national rowing (and beach rowing) coach of EST/LTU/LAT on the way to ice hockey one day, who's Canadian by the way. I also flew home on the same flight as JC Schoonmaker's mom and friends, so we chatted for a bit.
    • Yea I only used transit besides this Uber / bus to the airport and back. All the venues were at the end of the line, so it allowed you to speak with other fans/volunteers etc. I even met Corrine Stoddard's mom after the first session of short track on the way back, and told her to remember our conversation if she won a medal later in the Olympics. We know how that ended up...
    • I used public transit the entire time I was in Milan.   My first day was a doozy, because I had to two flights to reach Malpensa, and then the train into town was delayed, and then I got confused a station and boarded a tram instead of the metro, proceeded to travel in the wrong direction, got off, walked back to the station, found the metro, got off a station early, walked around a kilometer to my hotel, and checked in.   My colleagues mostly took cabs upon arrival, but I deduced to take the frugal approach. That said, I was a true public transit professional by the time I left Milan.   I actually enjoyed my rides to and from venues, because I'd just chat up fans and volunteers from different countries. It helped me learn more about the city too.
    • It's the olympics, sleep is for the weak!    The first day i got there i was on a 12 hour flight from l.a to rome (flight that left mid day), lay over, another flight to milan, uber to hotel, then right away to speed skating (1500m men), then after uber to hockey venue for women's gold final, then after the celebrations uber to the hotel, i ended up being awake about 36 hours that day, the next morning i thought to go sightseeing in the center of milan, but ended up sleeping until like 2pm..... and had speed skating/short track that night
    • I tried to get onto the metro multiple times and gave up    I had just arrived the day of from Bangkok (12 hr flight) and was just exhausted and wanted to sleep
    • Plus, you missed out on a potential metro ride with me, which is quite priceless in my opinion
    • My hotel was very close to Rho so was easy to get there, but it was so far from the hockey venue that after the women's gold medal match it was so expensive to get back, and also the next day after the usa slovakia semis it took forever, the asshole driver took the city and not the freeway
    • Uber cost me $224 CAD to get back to the hotel from the OC. It basically prevented me from buying tickets to a speed skating session
    • Romania's national team coach, Mircea Lucescu, has died half an hour ago He was in hospital since March 30th, just before the friendly match against Slovakia. Unbelievable how the life can have such turns...in March 26th he was in Istanbul playing the WC qualifying play-off vs Turkiye and now he died.    Thank you very much for every moments you bring us in your huge career (he's on 3rd place in a most trophies won in career, after Ferguson and Guardiola) and may your soul rest in peace, Mr. Lucescu.
