You are new here, so let me tell you you just threw a big bomb in the fire by calling them 'true athletes and role models' :d

(Personally I still find it rather hard to know what to think, I think all sides have their points)

Well they were both world champions in the last 2 years that for the first part and as for the second thing last year and also before a picture like this would never happen it’s not a political statement rather it’s a chance to see that there is things beyond politics and for me it’s a good sign

Oh I agree, but Mollaei has become a little....let's say, controversial here with the whole Iran-Israel-leaving Iran thing :d

Dutch heavyweight Ilona Lucassen has died due to for now unknown reasons, aged only 23. She was in the national team since 2016, won a GP bronze medal in 2018, silver in the European mixed teams championships in the same year and competed in Tel Aviv GP early in this year.

Edit: a message from her former judo school apparently says "she has been fighting with herself immensely. Sadly she has left us last Friday."

    • Today is a day without Italians in the leads positions. I`m worried that they are not trying to revive this our sprint. There is only one Bosa and he is old. Pergher is young but she is also only one. It is a pity. After the Olympics they will probably 100% give up on the entire sprint. Our medal bag in Cortina will depend 90% on Ghiotto, just like it did on Fabris in Turin 2006. If Ghiotto will be in goodshape, he can even win 2 individual golds + a team medal. If not, it will be a flop. Apart from him, only Lollobrigida can compete in the mass start and possibly Giovannini in the men's mass start.

    • Yes, he is ones of the first supporters of Milei, owner of one of the most important stock market of Argentina (Bull market), he was peronist and for "unknown reasons" start to be libertarian.   Even being libertarian in my case, i have to admit that him is one of the dumbest of "Milei supporters" and a clown when  he is in TV, he made me feel  embarrassed in many occasions.   Camila Giorgi being with him is.......inconceivable.
