Nice British double in the Women’s GP de Plouay this morning.  Lizzie Deignan beats Lizzie Banks after a long dual break. Big :NED &m:ITA names in the chasing pack never managed to bury the egos.  Race held in pouring rain & driving wind, or what we in Britain call “a day at the beach.”

Young Hungarian Attila Valter has taken his first serious win by winning the main stage and GC at the Tour of Hungary today, which had a rather strong field of participants.

He's been showing good results for a while, but this is sort of a breakthrough. Cool to see Hungary having someone new after one-trick pony Laszlo Bodrogi.

Sprinter Grosu takes Tour of Romania in another bizarre turn of events. Did he train with Wout van Aert by any chance?

Did you see him just casually be the only one to follow Diego Ulissi's attack in the pretty long uphill finish in Luxembourg yesterday? :yikes:

About Luxembourg: yesterday riders were already angry at the rather poor organization, with tons of cars being parked right in the heat of the sprint preparation battle, incredibly dangerous. Konovalovas was dropped after his work was done...and finished 12 minutes later eventually, because he had to stop for a red light - apparently the road had already been reopened.

Today it was again incredibly unsafe and very early on, riders decided to neutralize it and basically go on strike. The 160km stage ended up being 40km, since the deal was they'd at least race the last 40km, leading to a sprint win by Demare.
