Heptathlon should be:

Hall

KJT

Vetter

Oosterwegel

Weißenberg/Vidts

No bronze for Vetter. Let her throw with things and she 's fine, but running - especially an 800 - is a hell. I predict Hall/KJT and Vidts, Weissenberg or Oosterwegel for bronze.

Krizsán and Halász will likely deliver our two best results of the Worlds on the same day.

Meanwhile everyone is trying to survive here during the break. It's the hottest day of August.

Medal ceremony rehearsal atm. They are "awarding" volunteers instead of athletes. They gave them the WR check. :d

Morning session very interesting. Kaczmarek in very good form. And Swoboda is looking good as well. 💪

Our sprinter Kopeć is a very pricise guy.

while preparing blocks for 100m start everybody else was doing traditional tip toes but Kopeć just pulled out small measuring tape heh 💪👍

Isn't Krizsan looking good for bronze if Vetter has one of those real bad 800 days? She has quite a good 800.

Vetter should be good for bronze if she has a decent 800m, meaning not too far above 2:20. Unless Oosterwegel, Vidts, Hawkins or Krizsan really improve themselves as well.

Main fight should really be the one for gold. If Hall has a (for her) somewhat normal 800m, Johnson-Thompson needs to basically have her best race since roughly 2019 to have a real chance for gold. The biggest question seems to be whether Hall is physically fit enough for a full and strong 800m, if she is, she is definitely still the favourite for gold.

    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places. Here’s a look at the top countries: Rank Country Total Violations Percentage Region 1 Kenya 119 24.74% Africa 2 India 108 22.45% Asia 3 Russia 73 15.18% Europe 4 China 26 5.40% Asia 5 Turkey 20 4.16% Europe 6 Italy 18 3.74% Europe 7 South Africa 18 3.74% Africa 8 Ukraine 17 3.53% Europe 9 United States 16 3.33% North America 10 Morocco 15 3.12% Africa
