I'm sure they didn't want to sneak them into the plane :d that wasn't their first time boarding a plane, it seems the Brazilian police didn't like the usual paperwork they do everywhere else.

      great week for the  crews!    3 wins, 5 medals, a few good placings and Tita / Banti coming back just as good as they were in the Nacra 17, ending up in 4th place only because of a technical fail on their boat (which led them to abandon a race and to a DNS in the following one, when they were comfortably leading the overall standings )   sailing is slowly becoming one of our strongest Olympic sports

This figure comprises 959 male athletes and 676 female athletes. In addition, there are 924 team officials from the 45 NOCs.
