Athletics at the European Games 2023

Good 400 m and Shot Put to kick things off for us. The hammer was never going to happen either way, so that was expected. If we keep these 8-12 places, there is a chance to stay.

yeah, losing to :BUL  is never a good thing in the relegation battle, but Draghieva was great here and set a PB.

Slovakia is not going to be relegated :d

:HUN Márton wins, but that wasn't promising for the WCh, she's obviously nowhere near the level she was during the 2010s. Hopefully she will improve, otherwise we won't see her in the WCh final.

but I am never so confident when  it comes to such tight battles. Anyway 10 points from frist 2 events, it is more or less going on the expected rails

So 5th means valuable 12 points from W Hammer (another event we used to win more in the past...)

They really need to introduce something like this for the broadcast as well. It would make this event far more easier to follow, you would know how each team is actually performing.

Nice to see Morauskaitė 0.61s off from WCH qualifying time, after a 10 month hiatus :)

Feel pretty safe about her qualifying now, since she'll definitely run in the Lithuanian championships, Baltic championships, COSMA cup and that should give her enough starts.

Yeah, the BBC always used to do that.
