Yes, Chile is the sure rival. The European one will be Norway or (if Norway wins or loses final to Denmark) France. Brazil will be there if the Europeans will be won by someone from Worlds TOP 7 (or such team loses to Denmark in the final) and Egypt wins Africans. If someone outside of Worlds TOP 7 wins the Europeans, this team will be Spain, while Egypt and Brazil take the places for their continents.

Brazil would be out in that case, they were 3rd in pan am games and there is no 2nd quota for american teams in OQT.

Well, that's some kind of place for this continent, isn't it? :P Exactly the opposite way if Egypt wins the African Champs.

and special thanks to whoever made the seeding for the draw, Qatar and KSA only had to beat Hong Kong and India in the group round !!!

Kuwait was likely a bottom seed due to their inactivity over the past few years, which allowed Hong Kong and India to be placed in the same group.

I know. that's obvious but still they had to consider everything, HKG and India are much much weaker than other 6 teams.

beside that in Asia the seeding is usually based on the latest competition, and in the last Olympic Qualifier, Iran, Bahrain and Korea was 2nd, 3rd and 4th, doesn't make sense to put all 3 of them in the same group. it seems they considered the last Asian Championship for the seeding, this is something new

And so the “Qatari” reign of terror over Asian handball comes to an end.

I mean Qatar and Bahrain essentially have the same flag, same size, same athletes, and similar success; so has it really?

Well, I’ve got tickets to the first matches in Tokyo, but I’d prefer to see :CRO:DEN:FRA or the African team.

    • impossible, there are not enough venues in both towns and I mean, Milan doesn't have an Olympic Stadium, a decent Tennis Complex and a big Swimming Complex (not to mention the sea) Rome, on the other hand, doesn't have a Rowing/Canoeing Basin nor arenas and stadiums for the team sports beyond football and rugby there's no chance that all those venues would be built from scratch, meanwhile if we use both cities we already have almost everything we need, especially the most expensive and controversial sites

She wasn’t a top-tier athlete in that program anymore. She was at the end of her career. I would personally would rather race against Katie. She’s not as competitive as the other athletes,” he said. “It’s probably really unfair to say and not really where I want to go with this but that’s where we are with that.”   Uhlaender: “If I were Canada, I would be concerned in how this coach is representing the Olympic values for his country,” Uhlaender told Fox News Digital. “He hurt a whole field of athletes, all with dreams, and this sends the message that they don’t matter unless they are number one. All athletes matter, and we all deserve to compete fairly, with integrity, and respect. He did not respect anyone in that field. “This is not about my resume or how good the athletes were in the race. This is about the fact that he intentionally manipulated the competition to hurt myself and 13 other countries because he felt it necessary to eliminate all possibility. That is against the spirit of sport and not what the Olympic movement represents.”   Isn't it great when other people's dirty laundry is aired?  /sarcasm     (I was a little surprised to see NPR pick this up, but per this article, Uhlaender preemptively recorded the phone call after receiving a text from Cecchini that said he had 'bad news' for her.)
