First successfull penalty-kill by USA in this game.

 

both teams playing at full strength.

 

still 1-1 on the score-board less than 7 minutes to play in the opening frame

2 unlucky moments in 2 seconds for Latvia here...

 

first Jakš received a deflected puck right into his mouth... a couple of teeths and a lot of blood on the ice...and a second later came a Tripping foul from Kristians Rubinš.

yeah, rarely you´ll see USA power-play stats going to 0/2

 

the shortest man of this tournament Rocco Grimaldi added his 2nd of the day and is aiming for a nice bronze-medal-match hattrick now.

Meanwhile a successfull proposal on the cube during the intermission resulted in huge applause and smiles in the stands and some players smiling as well on the bench watching it on the cube, well, I guess the girl had no other options than to answer ...YES, in front of all this crowd though :lol:
