Hurray!! We'll need to post dcro details of his next match time :d

Good idea :d

First it's "Hollandse avond!" or "Dutch evening!", as they call it here...Christian Kist first, followed by Raybar :p

Alright, to be fair, he is apparently a decent player in the German Super League, but today...nah. It's like a downhill skier who goes down in a slalom-fashion, or a horse that does a piaffe instead of a pirouette.

So basically an eyesore.

Van Gerwen in the Dutch TV studio today (with Van der Voort), and man, he is MAD about not being nominated for "Sportsman of the Year" :d

"What more do they want me to win??"

How about the World Championships..

Well, the guy has a fair point, he probably won a lot more than some of the other people (is it a top 10 btw?). And Netherlands is the second strongest nation in darts, it's not such an obscure sport, i could see why he could be upset. :)

The main thing going on here is the question of "is it a sport?". Not really what they are using as excuse btw, they're talking about how there are not enough nations at the World Championships :p

There's not really a top-10, I think the number of nominees is slightly different every year. Although I do think he should have won the World Championships to be nominated in this case, seeing as it's already not such an international sport (at the top).

    • Finals are set    An all-Canadian final on the women’s side, as Team Homan looks to win their third title of the season (and improve to 18-1) against a hungry Team Einarson who have had a less than ideal start to the season, they were also the last Canadian team to beat Homan over a year ago (same event coincidentally), while on the men’s side it’ll be a battle between Olympic medalists as Team Mouat goes against Team Gushue!
    • Yeah, it was clear. But i repeat, we need it? I think no.

    • In the past the ISU has now allowed countries without a Federation to compete.
    • yeah I know    I mean it wasn't a different team specific for that sport. it was the same CC team participating in both sports.
    • It is run by a different federation though
    • from what I heard , Iran has registered to participate in Alpine, CC skiing, SkiMo, Skating (they didn't mention which discipline ) and ... (this one will be surprising ) ... Curling    Curling is not a sure thing yet, the NOC has to approve it. the team is very new. I mean very very new, only few months ago they gathered few people to start the sport  you can't lose 100-0 in Curling, right ?    anyway it will be first time ever Iran participating outside of FIS disciplines. ( I didn't count Ski orienteering in 2011 which was the same as CC)   nobody cares about winter sports here. therefore finishing last won't have consequences. they can afford sending very weak teams. (which is not the case for the main Asian Games)
    • World Junior Championships ( Dushanbe)   Day #4 Medallists   women's -78kg Gold:  Brenda Olaya Silver:  Mathilda Sophie Niemeyer Bronze:  Eva Ronja Buddenkotte &  Dandara Camilo   women's +78kg Gold:  Lee Hyeon Ji Silver:  Celia Cancan Bronze:  Chihiro Yamaguchi &  Safa Soliman   men's -100kg Gold:  Mukhammadsodik Sodikov Silver:  Nozomu Miki Bronze:  Azhdar Baghirov &  Fares Mekhoukh   men's +100kg Gold:  Denis Batchaev Silver:  Kanan Nasibov Bronze:  Saba Kardava &  Ibrahim Tataroglu
    • 100 days to go until the first multi-sports games of the 2025
    • 11 medals out of 15 athletes. for whatever reason  we sent an incomplete team of 16 athletes (only 1 left for tomorrow) I wish I knew why  I can guess though   the result is indeed very good in such a competitive sport but lack of talent was never our problem in taekwondo. it was always there probably much more than any other country.    but the problem is the transition to the senior team. most of previous junior world champions never even made the senior team. (the new federation is doing better in this regard though)
