Issue was that Bego was the French №2, but every time the others brought her back the French №1 just stuck to them, so they lost confidence & settled for silver.

Yep, nobody wanted to really try and work together, including teammates. And then Bego did what she was expected to do after her recent results: simply be impossible to catch (especially by a sort of unwilling group) :d 

 

Great job by the French.

Pretty disappointing team lining up for :GBR in tomorrow's men's road race - none of our top riders taking part so we are likely to lose ground to Spain and Slovenia in the race for all important top 5 ranking to secure full team for Paris.

      Just finished with PanAm Weightlifting Championship. Looking forward to the first Boulder World Cup this weekend. The Relay Championships will be good, too.  Might catch some of the W 3x3 action, too. Unfortunately the Ft. Lauderdale Open (Swimming) doesn't have a good stream.   (Might go back and watch the Oceania Weightlifting Championship.)

      So CAN & AUS are auto Q into the semis   SWE v SCO and ITA v JPN are the two qualifiers tomorrow morning. and then the two semis are tomorrow evening.  Medal matches on Sunday.   NZL v FRA and HUN v FIN to avoid the drop to the B division next year.    Unfortunately, not seeing any FTA coverage anywhere.
